YACOSMART LTD is the data controller for personal information processed through Clipcaptor (the “Service”). This policy describes the information we collect when you use the Service, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Account information, such as your name, email address, and password.
- Billing information, such as your billing address and payment details, processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe.
- Source Content you upload for processing (video and audio files, or links to hosted footage) and the Generated Content Clipcaptor produces from it, such as clips, captions, transcripts, and thumbnails.
- Workspace data, such as brand kits, team member roles, and approval comments, for accounts with multiple seats.
- Communications you send to us, such as support requests and feedback.
We also collect information automatically when you use the Service, including log and usage data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps), device information (device type, operating system, identifiers), and cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including transcribing, clipping, captioning, and reframing your footage.
- Process transactions and send related information, such as receipts and billing notices.
- Communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support messages.
- Monitor and analyze usage to improve the Service, train and evaluate the accuracy of our internal features, and develop new capabilities.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized activity.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. AI processing of your content
Your Source Content is processed by machine learning models, some operated by Clipcaptor and some by third-party AI infrastructure providers acting under contract on our behalf, solely to deliver features like clip detection, captioning, and reframing. We do not use your Source Content to train general-purpose models made available to other companies or the public, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent purposes.
5. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Uploaded footage and generated clips are retained according to your plan's storage terms and are deleted within a reasonable period after you remove them or close your account, subject to backups. You may request deletion of your data as described below.
6. Data security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. See our Security page for more detail.
7. International data transfers
Your information may be transferred to, and processed in, countries other than the one in which you reside, including the United States. We take steps designed to ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, including using standard contractual clauses where required.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.
